Women's Button Front s/s Floral Print Dress

Picked up this dress on a whim for a friend of mine. She loved it. Fit perfectly. You never know with online shopping but I figured at the low, low price of the dress it was worth the chance.

Well, I thought it looked cute in the picture, and though I was a little nervous about the arms fitting me because of the other reviews, I thought, at $8.00, it was worth a try. And things were looking good- it only took a day to reach me!

But from opening up the box, this became a disaster of a dress. The material is excessively cheap. It feels like a burlap sack against your body. Additionally, it is incredibly poorly constructed. When I got mine, one of the belt loops was broken, a button was missing (there are no extra buttons), and as soon as I tried it on, another button top popped off (The buttons are black, with snap-pattern tops.) Of course, my expectations weren't high, and I guess I can always send it back. But the price of the dress and the cost of shipping make that unreasonable. I'll just suck it up this time. But I will certainly avoid anything made by "ayc" and "Joshua Faulk" in future.

Other comments: Size? What you would expect. I ordered a Medium, and it fit everywhere including my arms. The length was a little shorter than I anticipated, as I'm generally a pretty short girl (5'4"), and dresses that are knee-length on the models are much longer on me. But this one was, if anything, shorter than it appeared on the model by an inch or two.

So thumbs down on this one. Good thing I also ordered the Merona black dress with elbow-length sleeves at the same time. A miracle dress for a comparable price.

This dress has the perfect fit. It is sharp enough for the office, yet fun for going out on the town. I've really become hooked to purchasing clothing from [...]. Thanks, Amazon.

I am so happy with this purchase! The dress is comfortable, flattering, and feels very high quality for the price. It arrived on time & the entire transaction was smooth. The pattern is more prominent than what you can see in the picture, but it's a nice pattern.

Actually, this dress is not as bad as I thought it would be, for 8 bucks. The fabric is actually quite nice, a soft jersey that fits and hangs very well. It's a sweet little "tea dress" (as featured in the latest issue of Lucky Magazine) that would be perfect for shopping on a hot summer's day. The sleeves were the only thing that bothered me. Not that I found them tight, as many of the reviewers have complained -- I just think they are not a very flattering length. So I cut them off at the cuff, hemmed with hem tape, then sewed the opening closed and embellished with the original covered buttons. Voila! My biggest problem with this dress is this: they sent me the wrong color. They sent the dark blue print and not the mauve as indicated. However, this would not have been a problem as that is the color I wanted in the first place. But I did not realize that the blue print as pictured is not the blue I received. The color looks disconcertingly like camo. And I hate camo.
