Editorial Review:
The under-the-mattress Movement Sensor Pad detects your baby?s movements and sends the signal to the Nursery Unit, which sounds an alarm ONLY if no movement is detected for 20 seconds. It also transmits all other nursery sounds and has a Movement Indicator Light showing if movement is being detected. The Parents? Units receive the alarm and all other nursery sounds. Two Parents? Units give you the flexibility of always leaving one in your bedroom while moving the second unit to the room you are in while your baby is sleeping. Additional features include a nightlight on the nursury unit, color LCD displays, out or range indicator and tempuratire feature. Both units are rechargable and include 8 channels with a range of 820 ft. Includes an under-the-mattress Sensor Pad, a Nursery Unit, a Parents Unit (sound monitor) and two AC adapters. Requires 12 AAA batteries (8 AAA batteries inlcuded).

Main issue with this monitoring is that an alarm sounds on both the receiver end and the baby's end whenever movement is not detected for over 20 seconds. All I can figure is it alarms for baby to make her stir and start moving again. In our case all it did is upset our newborn who we'd just spend 2 hours trying to get to sleep.
Needless to say, without the ability to disable the movement sensor and alarm, this was of no use to us and we returned it for a more basic monitoring system. Parents should know this alarm is unnerving for both you (who might possibly be sleep-deprived) and for baby...
Its a poor design when you don't have the option to turn off features such as the movement sensor. LAME.

This thing works great.. We wanted piece of mind once our baby started rolling over on her stomach.. We had just 1 false alarm so far.. I forget that its working until I take the baby out.. fyi..just remember to use the board underneath the mattress like the instructions say.. 2008-08-13

Not a fan of BeBeSounds Angelcare
We purchased this monitor for our first born 7-2008 and were very dissatisfied. There is not a way to disable to movement sensor even by just unplugging it. I was on the phone with Graco for over 45 minutes and they could not figure it out either.

Peace of mind
It is a great buy. Not only the range is great (300 feet in my case), but also it is full of features; temp gauge, movements sensor, etc. The sound is loud and clear. 2008-07-31

The original Angelcare is much better
I liked the original Angelcare monitor much more than this. The main reason is that it had 2 parents' units and you can put one in the master bedroom and one in the living room. Second, I think this one overcomplicates everything, with temperature and nightlight. I currently try to cover the light of the monitor because it can distract the baby if he opens his eyes when he is sleeping, especially at night. So I don't know if I like the nightlight feature, and the temperature not necessary. Again the temperature can distract the baby, so I would not go with this one. You should make sure it's warm in the room, and that's it. 2008-07-29
