Editorial Review:
Clear plastic shield that covers entire front panel of VCR. Guards against button pushing and playing with tape slot. Special fasteners allow easy removal as needed. No tools needed. Remote control still works. 14" long by 3 3/4" high. Also works for Cable Box, DVR, or Game Console.

It works!
A bit expensive for the final product. When I first took it out of the box, I thought, "Wow, this is cheap piece of plastic." However, it really works! At least the boys keep their hands off the buttons of the TV now and I am not saying no every five seconds... 2007-11-15

Wonderful and Helpful
The trick is to get this when they first become mobile... I bought this when my son first started crawling and getting into things at 9 months! He still checks them out every once in a while to see if he can now push the busttons but also knows it is no use! 2006-04-22

Worthless
I bought 4 of these plus 2 of the ones for the TV. Waste of money they are, especially if you have a TV that curves, where they can get their fingers in the sides. For the vcr, my 2 year old son just pulls the top and reach in. If anything it's a pinching hazard. Toys r Us use to carry a VCR guard that fit into the opening of the vcr. I used that one when my daughter was younger, she's now 4, and even now they can't open that kind because it requires sliding a button while holding an alternate side, something she can't do even at 4 going on 5. That one is made by Safety 1st and you can find it on the internet. Don't waste your money on this!!! 2006-03-29

iNCREDIBLY USELESS!!!
i HAVE TO AGREE. THIS SUPPOSED "GUARD" IS NOTHING BUT AN EXCUSE FOR YOUR TODDLER TO CONTINUE PRESSING THE BUTTONS YOU WANT COVERED UP! My son justs run full force toward it and pushes the tv off and on. Do not waste your hard-earned dollars on this! 2006-03-13

Don't waste time or money on this!
From the time she began to crawl, our daughter could defeat this. She would either pull it out and away from the VCR, or push the buttons through the plastic. (not stable, no way to keep it in place, etc.) We finally broke down and got an entertainment center with doors that we could hide all the electrical equipment in, returned these and bought locks for the cabinet doors. 2006-02-10
