Britax Frontier Booster Car Seat Rushmore

We bought this car seat two weeks ago after reading all the reviews. We did have to teether the car seat (using the long way, not short), as our daughter is over 40 pounds, and therefore LATCH is not recommended. Well, my husband didn't think it was necessary to purchase such an expensive carseat, especially when you can buy a $20 booster seat instead. I insisted that we keep our daughter in a 5 point harness until she is 80 pounds. The frontier is one of the few carseats that can do that. Well, just last weekend we were in a terrible, violent car crash. Her britex frontier car seat did not budge from its location. She was safe and secure, and no harm came to her. The necks guards were great as they kept her head from being slammed around. Since the accident, we have had to get rid of all of our car seats (due to the accident guidelines). We bought three new carseats (ALL BRITAX FRONTIER) for all our kids. This car seat is absolutely worth every penny. It saved our daughter's life!

This carseat is definately the "cadillac" of carseats! My 3 1/2 year old just got this and he loves it! He has so much room to grow into it, there are so many settings for the 5 point harness that I know he'll be in this carseat for a long time! He loves having his own armrests and cupholders and I love the piece of mind that I get, knowing he is in a Britax. I would absolutely recommend this carseat to anyone looking...it is worth the cost when you consider how long your child will be able to use it!

We just purchased this car seat after hearing so many good things about Britax. My 3.3-year old son is very comfortable in it using the 5-point harness system. The installation is not hard at all, provided you have a latch. I am not sure about the seat belt installationi. It is much easier to get the seat very securely installed with the design of the latch attachment "buckles" on the seat. The design of the head rest makes it more comfortable for snoozes on long car trips. It is worth the money.Britax Frontier Booster Car Seat Canyon

Don't get disheartened with the installation! I also had the problem of not being able to pull the straps tight and thought it was a compatibility problem( I own a 2007 Mercury Mariner). I called Britax, they referred me to a professional car seat inspector/installer and she and I just did it (LATCH method...although the same trick would work with the seat belt)...and that puppy doesn't move! Instead of tightening by pulling the straps tight out to the side of the seat, do this: Loosely connect the seat to your car. TRICK: Facing the seat, reach thru THE FRONTIER'S SEAT COVERS and pull the belt strap excess up thru the Frontier's belt threading holes (where the LATCH strap is going out to the buckle) and between the seat covers. Press down on the seat and pull them to tighten. This pulls the car's buckles into the threading holes so you don't have the wiggling problem. Britax makes wonderful seats (our 3rd) and we would never dream of buying anything else!

We just purchased 3 of these seats (two for us, one for daycare). [Yes we spent a lot of money, but the guilt of not having the best protection for my kid would have been more painful had we been in an accident w/o it.]

I was a bit concerned after reading some of the negative comments regarding installation. However, I am happy to say we experienced none of the problems mentioned by earlier reviewers.

We are very happy with the quality of the item and the ease of installation. It installed in our '03 Acura TL and '96 Bronco (full size) without issue. Our daycare provider also had no trouble installing it in her '06 Chevy van. The Latch anchors work really well and are a breeze to put in. We also have it installed in a lap-belt configuration which was quite easy.
