Love this cup - cold for hours!

I was looking for a non-plastic cup for my 3 kids (ages 5, 3, and 10 months). I got both the tall cup with the straw and the smaller sippy cup. We love them both. They keep stuff cold for HOURS! I was a bit skeptical, but they really do. The straw comes apart into 3 pieces for easy cleaning. The sippy cup has a few little dents from being tossed by my baby, but all in all these are great cups and I would highly suggest them. Buy these cups!

Great thermos bottle -- STRAWS are impossible to replace

I have two of these Thermos bottles and they work great. The liquid inside stays cold for hours and fresh. They are easy to clean and I like that it is not a plastic container (the top is). My biggest irritation with these is that the straws crack/break/tear easily and one is left with an unusable Thermos (my straws lasted 7 weeks!). The straws are not sold through retailers and trying to get one from Thermos will be a minimum wait of 5 to 6 weeks (I called on 8/25/08 and was told they are out of stock until then). For such an expensive bottle they should give at least one replacement straw, especially since they are so prone to breaking.

LOVE THIS CUP!!!

I love this cup for a few reasons. It's BPA free, It keeps milk cold for hours without condensation, it's spill proof & it's 12 oz. so it's larger that a sippy cup. I have put it & the straw in the dishwasher with no problems. My son also chewed up the straw so I emailed Thermos & they gave the phone number to call for a replacement. They are $1.00 each plus shipping. The phone # is 1-800-831-9242. There was no waiting time at all when I called.

a great item, recommended

This is a well made item, much better than most. We have a son with a disorder that requires him to drink a lot of special formula each day, and this is the best way to transport and dispense it. We've tried dozens of other methods and this one is by far the best option. Food stays cold, the seals and straws come apart for easy cleaning, and our little guy drinks out of it like he's just come out of the Sahara.

Highly recommended. And, it's stainless steel, no worries about plastic leaching!

Good cup but replacement parts needed

I like that liquid stays cold all day and it doesn't leak in the vertical position like our other straw cups that allow liquid to warm and expand without venting. However, it still leaks if turned upside down. Also, watch your toes when baby drops it, and our 15 month old has pinched her fingers several times in hinge to the the flip open cover (no injury sustained). I can't find a replacement part for the silicone straw that our 3-year old bit off.
