Good for occasional use

This set of three bungee cords is well made and arrived in a timely fashion. Each bungee is only 4 inches from hook to hook and expands about 2.5 more. I have very thick hair so I linked two to get it around my ponytail. My hair feels very secure and stable. If you are a stickler about items that "chew" at the hair you may want to pass on this product. The hook and band are very smooth but the hook's base has an unfinished/rough end that has pulled at my hair the four times I've taken it down.
