The product feels like it contains silicone. I prefer Laura Merciers primer that doesn't give that plastic-y feel and doesn't make me break out.

Don't get me wrong - I do like this product, but I don't know how absolutely necessary it really is. It feels nice when you apply it (initially liquid like that turns to a light powder feel), and you can sense that it is 'perfecting' your skin to begin foundation application, but any good that it really does is certainly only temporary and I personally believe that if your skin is scrubed and smooth and moisturised, then you probably don't need a product like this. Even in the hotter weather, I didn't find that this kept my make-up on any longer than it normally would have, but it 'appeared' to give it a slightly more polished look and admittedly, it helps your make-up go on smoother.
Overall, I like this product (I LOVE the way it feels on the skin), but I don't think I'd necessarily purchase another bottle when the difference it makes to my make-up is so minimal.

I like to have a primer, specifically for the reason that it seems to make my makeup last longer, and eliminates the need for as much foundation. I've been using this primer for a fair amount of time and am very pleased with the results.

First off, a small pump, approximately the size of a pea, is more than adequate to provide coverage. It is my final step of skin preparation (after cleansing, moisturing, sun-screening) before make-up application. You don't have to wait for it to absorb. I imagine it would work well with a liquid foundation, although I use powdered mineral foundation, and it works wonderfully in conjunction. This primer fills in any wrinkles, thus allowing foundation to go on seamlessly, making skin look radiant and fabulous.

My skin is not prone to break-outs, so I have no irritation with this Primer. However, it does contain oil. I think that I may be inclined to get the oil-free primer next time. The oil can leave fingers with a slight oily feeling. But overall, I'm very pleased.

I haven't tried many primers, but this is a great primer. It definitely helps makeup look smoother.

I use Monistat chafe relief powder gel as a primer and it works great at controlling oil, they're whole lot cheaper and works just as well. Dimethicone is the main ingredient and a key for a primer.
