The Pastor's Woman (Kimani Romance)

I read the first book to this series and I liked it.But, after this one I really did loved Wade and Pearl's story, it was beautiful. Eventhough they had their differences in many areas. They looked past that and allowed themselves to fall in love with each other. Without making things complicated.

I must say that after reading the first book of the series by Brenda Jackson, I was somewhat disappointed with JT's spin. I dont believe that JT was the best author for a series like this. I feel she should have teamed up with other authors who write like her. Not saying that Brenda Jackson is not a spiritual writer, but she gives the reader just enough of what is needed to make it a true "romance" novel. I felt like JT did not bring her "A" game to this novel and it actually took a week to finish this book because I was not inspired to read it. She totally dropped the ball on if Pearl ever got a recording contract. I'm sorry......I was totally uninspired!!!!

I was so pleased with this book. I have had the opportunity to read the first 3 books in the Lockhart sister series and after being introduced to Pearl in the first book, I was TRULY interested in seeing how her love life would fan out....I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!!! True to form, Pearl Lockhart ended up with all that she needed and not at the cost of giving too much of her self...physically. The truth of the matter is that so many try to cover up the fact that men and women do have natural attractions for one another....preacher or not....and it's a daily battle. Jacquelin Thomas did a WONDERFUL JOB potraying true passion but not lust in this story. I'd give it 4 thumbs up if I had that many!!!!! ;-)

This story was soooo good, and it ended leaving me wanting so much more. I REALLY hope there is going to be a sequel because I need to know what else has happened with the pastor and his woman!

This was well written, it kept my attention and gave me an interest in finding the other books in the series, which I have read also and are just as good as this one.
