CARES Child Aviation Restraint System

It sure beat trying to get down the aisle with a car seat and an active 2-year old! The two things that would be better designed are: (1) my child kept sliding down so I had to keep pulling him up and (2) the red belt rests at about neck level which was a little uncomfortable. We'll definitely keep using it.

I traveled by myself with my two little children. My son wore the CARES and he was comfortable. He could not stand up in his seat while wearing it, which was great when we were in the process of taking off and he wanted to stand up! It was also nice not to have to lug the carseat through the airport. It just fits in the baby bag and it was really easy to put on the seat and him.

My wife bought this since she is rather short and its hard for her to lug around a car seat and diaper bag and stroller and our son.( and she tends to fly home while im away on business) She set it up in the seat in a matter of minutes and our son loved it. Didnt move or fuss the entire time

We purchased this item for a vacation with our 14 month old son and didn't want to lug our huge car seat since we hadn't bought him a seat on the plane. The CARES system was so small and compact that it fit easily into our carry on and since there was an extra seat available we just strapped him in and were ready to go! A great, light weight option for traveling parents and kids!

When flying with my children I am always emotionally conflicted about how to keep them safe (being a mother comes with a lot of guilt...). On the one hand, it is physically impossible for me to carry a child, carry on baggage, and a car seat through an airport. Conversely, I find myself wishing I had a safe way to restrain my child when the airplane experiences scary, jolting turbulence. Shouldn't children aged 1-4 be as safe on an airplane as they are in a car?
