I also like that in her dance routine with her students, that you don't have to already be a skinny risqué looking girl to learn to bellydance. Even though you may not be the thinnest, you can still dance and look attractive!
I highly recomend this DVD! It really is a total body workout!

Fun fun fun
Being uncoordinated as I am, I have found this to be a relatively easy dance video to follow. The explanations are clear and she demonstrates the moves. I would recommend it, especially if you are a beginner who has a rough time walking and chewing gum at one time 2008-07-30




New to Belly Dancing
Ok. I listened to all the reviews and selected this DVD to help me learn a good foundation for the movements in belly dance. I am completely new to belly dance and started at first with the Discover Bellydance DVDs by Veena and Neena. They were an inexpensive trio of DVDs that gave me some dances and movements and are very fun at first. But I keep going back to Jenna's DVD as I progress because she is really helping me get stronger and helping me to learn the isolations, posture and basics that make all the other things really work. One thing that is working for me is Jenna's explanation of good posture. I really need to protect my back. Jenna shows you how. Doing Jenna's DVD is preparing my body so I'm ready to take on more. Bellydance has become my favorite exercise. I love the way the DVD is sectioned off so I can easily go right to the part I want in each workout. There's so much on here that I rarely see the whole DVD in one sitting. I was so inspired that I got Jenna's other DVDs too: Bellydane the Next Level, and The Heartbeat of Bellydance. They are just as good. Now, I'm inspired to take up the drumming. 2008-07-28




A must have!!!!!
This is a must have for anyone that is interested in belly dancing. If your looking for weightloss or just wanting to learning the dance! As we all know posture is everything in dance and I like that Jenna reminds you of it continuously. If your like me and are not too good at keeping yourself in good posture, that by itself is a good workout! On the menu screen she has EVERYTHING broken down (her intro, posture & arms, warmup, etc.). You can tell she really knows her stuff and really explains everything well! Its like having a personal dance instructor in you own livingroom!

very comprehensive
this was my first intro to bellydancing. jenna is a great dancer, with a no nonsense respectful approach to this art form. i get the impression that she loves her job. there are easier dvd's out there for a beginner, but this is doable. it just takes practice. it took me roughly 3 months from warm up through to the presentation. but i got it down now and it really does a number on your core. good authentic music too. 2008-07-16

I thourghly enjoyed this DVD and had a lot of fun learning the various dance moves. This is another great reason to have a fun get together with friends and family and learn something new.
