Amazon Kindle DX Leather Cover (Fits 9.7" Display, Latest Generation Kindle DX)

I purchased the KindleDX leather cover to accompany my KindleDX and highly recommend others to purchase this, or a similar cover. The Amazon promo video shows a student using a KindleDX on campus, then sliding it into his bag, but I doubt the Kindle front surface would remain in good condition for long as scratches would soon develop. For me it was a no-brainer to purchase a cover for the KindleDX as I can safely place it in my backpack etc knowing that the KindleDX will not get damaged in any way. The leather cover I purchased from Amazon is of sturdy construction and looks as if it will wear well over time. For us UK customers, the KindleDX is already pretty expensive, so a good cover is needed to protect that investment. I have not regretted paying the extra $50 for the leather cover.

The cover fit well and is great looking without adding bulk or weight. Easy to use the Kindle unit that is secured within.

Totally recommend this item, it makes it easier to hold the kindle dx without worrying about bending or damaging it in anyway, it gives stability and keeps it protected. Anyone purchasing a kindle should definitely have one of these covers. Its the best!

Glad I purchased this cover. Was undecided as there are SO many covers available - which to choose??

I went with the Amazon Kindle cover. Initially I thought I would just buy this to start and then upgrade to another but now, why bother? It works really well, looks fine and protects the Kindle.

The product snaps around the Kindle - just be a little careful attaching the Kindle and it works and looks good.

An absolute MUST HAVE for any Australian or Kindle user.


SERVICE Experience:
The first version I bought (mid feb 2010) arrived and the front cover was warped. Very strange. So after a flurry of emails I found the best way to contact Amazon from Australia.

1. Click http://www.amazon.com/kindlesupport
2. On the right hand side look for the box "Get Express customer service or contact us by e-mail or phone" - click CONTACT US
3. There is a phone option. Simply enter your Australian number and within seconds Amazon will call you for free (note: they cannot call any mobile numbers - has to be a landline)

Amazon promptly sent me a replacement cover and charged me for this. However, sending stuff back to Amazon from Australia is not easy!

(mid-March 2010) still no clear return instructions or refund.
