Used Epson and HP since the Truman Administration..
I am hooked on Canon now.

We picked this unit based in part on consumer reports information, as well as some online reviews (thank you Amazon audience).
I have used it for all of the major functions now and they have worked flawlessly.
I use it for copying and printing mostly, and will use it more heavily for scanning in the future. The document feeder works great (first unit I've had with one).
One major advantage that Canon has over it's cometitors is the separate color ink refills. Think about it this way, you waste a lot of ink if you have to change the cartridge just because the cyan is out, when you may have plenty of magenta or yellow left. Using a Canon will show how you do end up replacing them at different times, and getting more out of your ink. (I hadn't seen anybody else harp on this, so I thought I'd add it).

This prompted me to work with a company that is going to make a overriding device where you could do reset the chip multiple times. This product is now available in Europe, and it would be launched in U.S. shortly.
I have been using this product for more than 13 months, and bought it when it was priced 158 dollars. Now it is priced just over 100 dollars.
I would recommend this product if you are willing to pay for the costly original ink cartridge.

Excellent MultiFunction Printer
This printer has worked really well. Owned for one month, prints duplex painlessly, hadles paper efficiently, and the inks last fairly well. Good scanning functionality that is pretty fast and results are pleasing. Haven't needed the fax function yet, but can assume that with everything else working excellent and as advertised, that it should be quite good as well. Color output is excellent, colors look great and detail is excellent. Has helped me to produce catalogs and T-shirt layouts. All in all, I paid $100 for a duplexing multifunction, high quality printer. Can't beat that! 2008-08-29

A great solution for a great price.
I have wanted an all-in-one for quite some time, and needed to wait for an old (Lexmark) prineter to die. I have owned HP, Canon and Lexmark printers in the past, and Canon and Epson scanners.

Great printer
I love this all in one printer. It makes everything that seemed too complicated very easy to understand. The quality of the image is great. 2008-08-24

Bulk sized
This product is heavy and occupies space. It works well. However, remember there is a chip in every ink cartridge, and it is a real pain in your neck. Once ink in the cartridge is low all the functions are frozen and nothing (Fax/printer/scanner) works unless you install costly original Canon ink. There is no way around.
This prompted me to work with a company that is going to make a overriding device where you could do reset the chip multiple times. This product is now available in Europe, and it would be launched in U.S. shortly.
