Samsung LN46A650 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color

I did extensive research before deciding to purchase the Samsung LN46A50. I found that the Samsung met all the specifications of more expensive brands (Sony) with a much nicer price.

The picture quality is excellent with over the air HD broadcasts, and blue-ray through the PS3 is, of course, eye popping. Set-up was very easy. Check out the reviews of this product on CNET and other AV sites for more specifics.

I have had this TV for a month now. And the picture quality is just stunning. The TV excels in every area and that has been covered by everyone here.

I will just highlight one aspect that took away from a 5 star review - the TV does not have unique a on/off switch. Using a Harmony 880 universal remote, this means that shifting from each input ends up switching off the TV.

I love this TV. When trying to write a review for it, that really is the first and most definitive thing that comes to mind.

I'm a gamer and I still don't trust plasmas not to burn in (or more specifically, I don't want to have to worry about it all the time), so I researched LCDs and after an exhaustive search found this to be the best one out there (especially in its price range).

The touch of red is different, but we have it in a cherry wood entertainment center so it blends in well. Although my wife was very reluctant to go with it because of the color, she's warmed to it and we've never had a complaint from anyone who's come to see it.

Contrast levels and refresh are top notch and the 120hz (while a matter of preference) really adds a certain pop to my DVDs and blu rays (although I will admit that I do appreciate the built-in option to turn it off because it really doesn't work well with everything).

I haven't had any of the issues where the set randomly turns off yet, but even if you do, there's already a firmware upgrade to fix it so without any hesitation I recommend this TV as the best LCD in its price and size range.

Great TV! It's one of the highest rated products for a reason. No complaints what so ever.

I received my TV on Sept. 26. I cannot say one negative thing about the TV or the remote that some people have found to be troublesome. The picture is just amazing, the sound is great. I was going to purchase the 46" 550 series but backed off due to comments regarding the sound. Glad I went for the extra $$$ for the 650 series. The delivery from CEVA was not as great. They showed up as scheduled and brought the TV in and set it up in no time, but between them hooking it up wrong and the HD cable box not working correctly, I was not able to get HDTV until Saturday which required a visit from my cable company. It was clear that the delivery guys, though nice, were in a rush to get out and move on. I felt they were more concerned about making sure they got a gratuity, than making sure the TV was set up properly. All in all, this was a good experience. If you go this route just make sure your TV is up and running before the delivery guys leave your house.
