Editorial Review:
Now you can play all your favorite digital music, all over your house, on all your favorite audio equipment-your home theater system, powered speakers, stereo, and more. Just connect a ZP80 to any amplified audio device in any room, and that device is instantly and seamlessly part of a wireless, multi-room digital music system. Which means you can use the full-color Sonos Controller to control all your music, and all your rooms from the palm of your hand. You can also use a ZP80 to retrofit a conventional audio system with home-run speakers or as a wireless extender to increase the wireless range of your Sonos system. No matter where or how you use the ZP80, the digital and analog outputs will deliver superior sound to every room. And because the ZP80 is so compact, you can put it just about anywhere.

Easy to set up, great way to distribute music throughout the home, easy to control with the wireless remotes (sold separately).

Sound quality is excellent (obviously the speakers make a difference, but the amplifier in the Sonos Player is very good for the size).

Great system for music
I use these with various powered speakers or standard speakers connected to amps in several "zones" at home. Try them with the auidoengine A2 speakers in smaller rooms for a small package that over delivers on sound quality.
Easy to set up, great way to distribute music throughout the home, easy to control with the wireless remotes (sold separately).

ZonePlayer 80
Great add-on device to my music system, bringing internet music and digital music from my computer to my theater system. It seems expensive for for merely converting wifi radio frequency to RCA inputs to the home theater system. Especially when I realized I needed to buy another bridge device to connect this unit to the home network. But it is simple to install and use. It is unobtrusive and clean. 2008-02-13

Technological simplicity at its best!
I have to say I'm not normally one to give reveiws of products but the Sonos system is quite simply the most fantastic piece of technology I have ever had the pleasure to come across. It is so simple to set up and so effective. It may be more expensive than some of the other brands that are around to achieve the same thing but its efficiency and simplicity is worth squillions. If you are dithering about this one just bite the bullet and go for it - you won't regret it. 2007-12-17

Great Product
I have been using the Sonos system for about six months and think it is outstanding. Before using the Sonos I tried to use a low cost Linksys system and had a horrible experience. If you have more than a hundred or so tracks, these other systems are completely impractical. I use the Sonos with both my own MP3's that I keep on a NAS device, and with the Rhapsody service. Both work great. The only significant issue that I have is that it can be hard to find a particular track when you have thousands of tracks. Rhapsody has tens or hundreds of thousands of tracks. You have to guess the Genre right, and you have to scroll through a lot of artists. Sonos really needs to add a Search by name capability. 2007-08-16

Sonos Rocks!
I have never had a more simple setup of a wireless device. Sonos has made it so easy. We got it setup in no time and it is rock solid even through many walls. This is a little expensive, but compared to the weak performance of the Roku system and the expense of hard wiring from a central distribution system, I would put Sonos in again in a heart beat!!
Sound quality is excellent (obviously the speakers make a difference, but the amplifier in the Sonos Player is very good for the size).
