Bob's Red Mill Soup Mix, 13 Bean, 29-Ounce Units (Pack of 4)

Just follow the bag and you'll have a tasty soup! I use beef broth and add onion and carrots and celery. Bob's products are wonderful!!

Tried this soup mix for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! Recipe on beans package is great! It was even better the second day! Will buy often.

The only reason this gets a four and not a five is that it is pretty cheap and easy to just go to your grocer and pick up the beans required to make your own multi-bean soup, then toss them in a Rubbermaid and use them at will. Red Mills, however, has incredibly high quality products, and I confess that when I'm in a rush, or know little about the quality of the food choices before me, I tend toward this brand. I'm picky about the nutritive value of foods, and the way they are grown and processed, and this has been a safe place to go for that.

Making a soup with this particular mix is as easy as falling off a log! If you're nervous and don't have a recipe, just cheat the first time out of the gate by tossing in onion soup mix/your favorite homemade broth and some veggies. You also can't go wrong with chunks of ham and some ham broth or bouillon. Add a chunk of crusty bread with butter, and a nice spinach salad, and enjoy a truly great and simple eating experience!

I prepared this product using the recipe on the package. The soup was very tasty,with a variety of beans, and lots of fiber. I thought that the (4 pack, 29 ounces per package)was a economical purchase, in this category of soup mixes.
