Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Chicken Flavor Ramen, 2.1-Ounce Cups (Pack of 12)

FYI, this product is listed in the Gluten-Free section of the online grocery section but it is not gluten free. Durum wheat is not an acceptable grain in the gluten free diet. I have never had the product so can't talk about its taste and quality, but almost ordered 12 packs of it then realizing it would not be appropriate for my son't diet.

I love Dr. McDougall's products! Very healthy, great taste, generous portions, really satisfying and always vegan. No animal need suffer and die just so we can stuff our faces. The Ramen - Chicken Flavor is a favorite. NO saturated or trans fat, NO cholesterol, low in sodium (320mg). It has lots of noodles, just the right amount of vegetables, and a slightly spicy flavor. (It never has that cardboard taste that some other cups-of-soup do.) It contains REAL food ingredients -- no unknown chemicals. "BEST INGREDIENTS: PASTA (100% DURUM WHEAT SEMOLINA), DEHYDRATED VEGETABLES (CARROTS, CORN, GREEN BEANS, SPINACH), YEAST EXTRACT, POTATO STARCH, NATURAL FLAVOR (NON-ANIMAL SOURCE), GARLIC, ONION, SPICES (BLACK PEPPER, TUMERIC, AND OTHER SPICES), SEA SALT. CONTAINS: WHEAT." Just empty the Fresh Flavor Packet into the cup, add boiling water to the fill line (I highly recommend the Breville SK500XL Ikon Stainless-Steel Electric Kettle), stir, close the lid and cover with a spoon, let stand for 3 minutes, then stir again. I bought this for another member of my family, but later, chose it for myself. If you let the boiling water sit longer than recommended, it tastes much better. The noodles are more plump. I really like the taste. You can tell it has less salt and they have added a really good flavor packet. Regular ramen noodles just aren't healthy. The added vegetables taste great to me. These noodles are cut shorter so it is not as messy to eat as ramen noodles. The flavor keeps bringing me back. I like being able to eat it and not have to worry about msg or fat.

like ramen and chicken soup but not really. only buy if you won't eat chicken

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a healthy, but delicious cup of soup. This soup is easy to make and takes great! My kids like it too. There are lots of noodles and the vegies in it taste fresh. It's not as salty as regular ramen, probably because it doesn't have any MSG.
