Libby's Corned Beef, 12-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

This is canned corned beef. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was expecting when he opened it, but fillet mignon just doesn't can quite as well. Libby's is the best brand I've come across. As the other sane reviewer noted, it has less fat than other brands I've tried and has a very rich flavor. I use it a-lot in soups and baked in a dutch oven with cabbage, potatoes, carrots and garlic. It's also very good with eggs for breakfast. BTW if your dog turns up his nose at this, it's time to revoke his limo privileges!

If you are a corned beef lover like my family is, then this is the one you want to buy.Libby's has less fat than any other brand I have bought and has a good texture. Put it in a pot of cooked potatoes and cabbage and it's wonderful.I have also made hashed browns with it too. I don't know what the other reviewer expected, evidently they have not tried corned beef before. AND, by the way my VERY french poodles go crazy when I open the can, so I don't know what kind of dog she has but mine would fight for it. GREAT product by a GREAT company!

When I saw the ad, I knew I just had to try this supposedly delicious meat, but my hopes and dreams soon came crashing down around me. First off, I purchased 12 of these "things," which even my dog will not eat. I swear it is the closest thing to dog food that the FDA will allow to be sold. I couldn't even give it away to the homeless people under the freeway by my house. They offered to eat it, but only on the condition that I supply them with a bottle of whiskey to wash it down and suppress the vomit inducing taste of this "food?" For a real delicious meat product try Neura Beef. That stuff works in every recipe.
