Natural Touch Kaffree Roma Roasted Grain Beverage, 3.5-Ounce Unit (Pack of 12)

I have been trying some other coffee alernatives for a while, like Postum, Teeccino Caffeine-Free Herbal Coffee, but this one seems to simulate the flavor, texture, taste and even the smell a little of coffee the closest. It is also healthy, although I do miss the kick of caffeine of real coffee :-) I recommend this product the most out of the ones I have tried (although Postum has been discontinued). I also agree that you should stick to the recommended "dosage" otherwise it may seem to have a too bitter aftertaste.

This is the very first coffee substitute I've tried, so have nothing to compare against -- except for coffee, of course! The flavor was alright and resembles coffee somewhat, though the smell (as someone mentioned before) isn't coffee-like in the slightest. I found that if I held my breath while drinking, it tasted a bit more like coffee. Of course, holding your breath while drinking isn't the ideal way to enjoy a hot beverage, so I'm hoping that the unusual flavor (not bad, mind you, just unusual) will grow on me in time. I'd already become more accustomed to it by the second cup -- which I enjoyed slightly more than the first. I'd also added a bit of honey the second time, which seemed to improve the flavor.

My search won't end here, though, and I'm eager to try other brands to see whether or not there's something out there that better emulates the taste of coffee. Of course, if your goal is to find a pleasant tasting, rich morning beverage that doesn't have to taste or smell like coffee, then give Roma a try.

I have found this does in fact taste like coffee. Actually it taste like sanka coffee. However use as directed. If you use to much then it will have an aftertaste to it use as directed it tasted good. I like it with cream and sugar. Or with hazelnut cream...

This product really tastes like coffee. I really like it. However, it doesn't smell like coffee. I didn't realize how much difference the smell makes. I drank 1-1 1/2 pots a day, after a couple of days I didn't even miss water strained through coffee beans. I definitely recommend this product.

I haven't tried all the coffee substitutes on the market, but this is my favorite of the several I've tried. The ingredients are simple: roasted malt barley; roasted barley; and roaster chicory. It has the heavy, dark feel that you want when you're trying to replace coffee.

I used to be able to find it in grocery stores, but then wasn't able to for a long time. I'm excited that Amazon is carrying this now. It's a great value for the number of cups you can make!
