Great for the price...
I appreciate the other reviewers who posted here on Amazon. Reading your opinions helped me make an informed buying decision. So... I'll add my two cents now.
I've used this product for a couple of weeks--it's installed on my chair at work. The lumbar support has three main functions, so I'll evaluate all three:

* As a lumbar support: I love the shape--this is the main reason I bought the product. Because I usually sit leaning slightly forward, it's hard to say how much the memory foam (that's the blue part shown in the photo) contributes to comfort, but it definitely doesn't hurt. The product also comes with an elastic strap with hook/loop fastener which helps to keep it in place in a chair.

* As a massager: Others have pointed out that the pillow simply vibrates, which is correct. A true massaging function isn't part of the product. Having said that, the vibration is nice, quiet and has two settings. I've used both at different times. I like the fact that the vibration can be used without having to rely on the AC adapter (uses AA batteries).

* As a heat pad: I'm also one of those people who is the first to be cold in a normal office environment, so the heat function is nice and about right for me--not too hot but it is noticeable. One drawback is that to use the heat function, the unit must be plugged in with the AC adapter, AND the vibration must be ON. That's right, the heat function doesn't work with batteries alone. This drawback is the reason for my four-star (instead of five-star) rating. My chair at the office has wheels and it's a little too easy to roll over the cord.

Overall, it's a nice lumbar support option (especially for an office chair) for the price. Of course a fancy shiatsu lumbar support can be had for $75+ at places like Brookstone, but something like that would probably interfere with productivity anyhow. Knowing the product's drawbacks ahead of time helped. I'd recommend this to a friend.

Very comfortable!
This lumbar support pillow is very comfortable. The memory foam helps alot. I really like the auto off feature. I use it in my car and its working out great for me.

Cannot Recommend
I tried this on my couch, vehicle, and office chair. The blue cushions make contact with the sides of my back, so the rest of it never touches me. It is extremely uncomfortable -- I want something supporting my entire back. Maybe this is designed for someone who is very thin.

Lumbar support/massager
Good back support and comforting vibrating massage, but heat function is underpowered and not very effective. Can be used full time as a lumbar support in your work chair ...cv
