Editorial Review:
Wine should breathe a little, but not overnight. Putting an end to the oxidation process, which turns a favorite Merlot into vinegar, is easy with the Vacu Vin Concerto Wine Saver. These long-lasting extra stoppers are designed to work with the vacuum-style pump (sold separately) to keep a wine fresh. Made of high-quality rubber, they won't affect the taste of the wine. And the method is simple--just place a stopper in the opening of a bottle, place the pump over the stopper, and pump air out until the pump clicks to indicate that the correct vacuum level has been attained. This process is suitable for preserving all but sparkling wines, and will save Chiantis, Syrahs, and others for up to two weeks.

Customer Reviews:

Been using them for many years...
I could write several paragraphs but suffice it to say if you vacuum seal wine that you haven't decanted or left open for a week, it'll remain fresh for at least a couple weeks. 2008-12-03

Keeping open bottles of wine drinkable!
I love a glass of good wine with dinner... OK, sometimes two. Much to my doctor's relief, I don't drink a whole bottle at one sitting. To save the leftover wine, I use the Vacu-vin system. It's extremely affordable, the toppers are reusable, and it's much more convenient than some of the higher priced vacuum systems (or the nitrogen spray). Plus it's a fun workout pumping out the air! Make sure you get the pump, too. 2008-11-04

Vacuvin products are getting worse
These stoppers require that you hold the pump more perpendicular above the stopper and then hold the seal more firmly. They aren't as forgiving as the old stoppers for when you hold it at a slight angle. Its frustrating when technology moves backwards, and then they call it progress. This company used to have a better product line with their containers as well. However, this product might still be better than the practically non-existent alternatives. This product deserves three stars, but I'm giving it two stars because so many of the other reviews are skewed way too high. 2008-09-15

Vacu Vin Wine Savers do Save the Wine
I've tried everything else. This is the only way to keep a bottle of wine from going bad. Unless the weather is extremely warm, it will last for several days after opening it. I love this product. 2008-08-29

Wine keepers
This is an excellent product. Inexpensive but saves money. I am a one glass of wine per day person. Now I can enjoy the same taste as the day we open the bottle. Highly recommended. 2008-08-13
