Bring Ya to the Brink

Superb! Brilliant CD and especially the second track "Into the Nightlife" which is my favourite by far!! Due to apparent explicit lyrics it seems this CD is not easy to obtain in the UK outside of Amazon so this might be useful info.

A definite must-have for your collection - try to grab a listen just to that track "Into the Nightlife" - the CD is worth purchasing for that alone!!

A great adventure for Cyndi. Lots of skeptics at first, but everyone I know has TOTALLY been won over from this album. People I know who aren't even casual fans of Cyndi's LOVE this CD. SOme tracks sound s very modern, while others are throw back to the 90's 80's and 70's. Its just a great fun CD. I won't bother going into detail because you are either going to buy it, or you aren't. Do yourself a favor though, and purchase it. But get it on Itunes, so you'll get the 2 extra tracks.

Cyndi Lauper makes a great CD. With nice dance-music. I think it's fantastic that a 56-yeat old woman can make so cool music. A mut buy!! I can really recomend it!

Cyndi Lauper's CD At Last captivated me with "Stay" going to #1 in my personal top ten. In "Bring Ya to the Brink," the photograph of Lauper dusting off a disco ball with an expressionless affect describes most of the music well. The overall feeling this set generates for me is someone who has had tragic news and puts on their best clothes and goes to a party anyway, looking great but feeling very low. "Same Old Story" and "Raging Storm" are good tracks, but not knockouts for me. Cyndi's emotionally powerful vocals make "Set Your Heart" my favorite track on the CD, "When your heart is beating black & blue, and the cold world is looking back at you & you think that love is round the bend, go on turn around, you'll see, I will always be your friend." "Rain On Me" has a slower pace and strong vocals. However, much of the rest of the set fails to connect with me. Lauper has created so much interesting music that I hope this CD finds its audience. Enjoy!
