QuickNotes Schol Yr Appt Book Ruled 1 Wk/Spread w/Hrly Appts

The appointment book is almost as big as a regular college ruled notebook which can be a bit too much to carry with all the text books. Also, every two pages show a week of schedule and a section of Quicknote. I found that I barely filled more than half of the space provided for each day. Also, I understand that they tried to fit the hours of the day into the schedule, but I found the lines were ruled too close together. As a college studnet, I can saftely say that I don't really care much about the hours of the day as the dates.
Over all, this is definitely a planner for students (more for college students) with a plenty of space to write on, but it can be too much. I feel that smaller planners would be much more convenient and efficient for typical college students.

The planner is flimsy. The paper used for the pages is so thin, you can see the lines of the next two pages through them. It makes for a very messy, confusing "organizer."
Since the majority of the work week (M,Tu,Th,F) boxes fall on the left side of the open pages, my hand rests on the spiral while writing... may be more suitable for a lefty... if you can get past the fact that it's overpriced.
Additionally, I ordered the planner on August 21 with 2-day shipping, and did not receive it until 2 weeks later!

Overpriced
As a graduate student, I thought this would fill my needs for a planner. While useful and having a very good layout (3-4 days per pages), it is NOT worth the price. With a flimsy, cheap plastic cover, this is something I could see purchasing for six to eight dollars. Spend a little extra money on a filofax or Franklin Covey planner. 2008-10-15

awesome day planner
the Quick notes section makes it easy to create to do lists - love that it is week at at time + the monthly view. 2008-10-13

Plenty of Space to Write On, Perhaps Too Much
I am a college student and At-A-Glance School Year Appt Book seemed like a very nice product for me. Well, I could see that it was made for students in mind. The planner starts from July to August of next year. It has pages for class schedule for quater systems, time zones and area codes, a small section for addresses, 4 year holiday list, and Quicknotes, which is basically pages and sections for writing down quick notes. I, however, felt like it was too much. It was too much bulky to whip out this planner when I needed to write some quick notes or schedule a meeting on the fly.

Don't bother-- not worth the price
I was disappointed in this planner.

Great for moms with school-aged kids also
This appointment book is very convenient for the person who has several things to do in a day but doesn't need a lot of room for a "to do" list or notes. The layout is straightforward and easy to use. A full-month calendar at the beginning of the month allows for an easy overview of that month. The weeks are presented in 2-page spreads that help you keep on top of upcoming appointments, deadlines, etc. since you tend to see them every time you consult the book. There's a section for notes (not large, but large enough for the average person and a good place to note phone numbers or a few reminders). A section in the back allows you to note class schedules for 4 quarters, with special slots at the bottom to indicate exam and break/vacation/holiday dates. There's also a 2-page spread for notes, a time zone/area code map and 2 pages for addresses in the back. This book would not be good for someone who needs to jot down a lot of reminders, notes, etc. It is a larger format (though not especially bulky), so it's not as convenient to carry around with you, but the size does make it easier to write in. As with any hard copy appointment book, it requires more maintenance. If you jot down an appointment and want to have it show up in your monthly calendar, you need to enter it twice. I found that after the first few months I abandoned the monthly calendar except for major things like vacations/trips, birthdays, etc. As my year has been getting busier and busier, I've found that I will need a format that allows more space per day, so I'll have to change to a different model. But all in all, I've been very satisfied with this book, which I've used for the past few years to keep track of my children's school events, appointments, etc. 2008-06-28
