Bissell 3255 Steam Mop Microfiber Pad Replacement, 2 Pack

I haven't had a chance to use the steam mop yet so I am unable to rate it! However, since I can't seem to proceed without checking something, I'll check one star at this time. I bought the mop because my sister has one and loves it. But I'm not reviewing the mop pads as indicated above, but the method of advertising for the steam mop itself.

My problem with the company has to do with how they advertise. A few days after my mop arrived I got an ad from Amazon that this mop was $20.00 less than what I had just paid for it. I enquired and after a few e-mails I heard from the company's customer service office that the mop on sale "was not new." That statement didn't appear anywhere in the sale item ad. It is my contention that it SHOULD be stated why it was on sale in the first place. It makes me think twice before I buy any appliance on sale that's advertised on line.

The green ones that came with our Bissell steam mop fit perfectly. I can get them on and off without much trouble and they stay on. I bought these 2 extra pads when I bought the mop. But, I have to say that I use these only when the green ones are dirty and I avoid using them because the fit is so tight that they are a struggle to get on the head. It is quite a battle to get them on. This happened the very first time I used them so I have been careful to only air dry them after washing for fear of any shrinkage. Also, they are a thicker pile than the green ones that came with the mop so there is more resistance pushing it across the floor. I just feel they are more of a struggle than the green ones that came with the machine and I wish I could order the green ones for replacement pads. I have a few children in the house and i need to use the mop almost daily so the replacement pads are very necessary.

The microfiber pads for the Bissell steam mop are a very good product. They stretch to fit over the head and has a string to tighten them as need be. They absorb quite a bit of water and seem to wash up well. I've only have my steamer for about a month and so far so good. I really like it. My sister-in-law has the old style terry cloth pads and she has a lot of trouble fitting the terry cloth pads on the steamer. I brought her some of the microfiber pads and she is really satisfied with them. A definite upgrade from the old style.

I purchased the replacement 2-pk to go along with the two that came with the machine and its working out great. It takes two to get all the tile done and then I throw those in the laundry and still have another set. Rotating like this means I always have a clean set! They come through the laundry clean and don't lose their shape.

I love buying mops praying until I try it out that it will be the mop of my dreams. Instead I buy nightmares and broken promises. Lots of them. No body likes mopping! I quickly glanced away from the TV to listen to my husband snoring loudly and thought to myself, Well, I'm gonna get the mop a shot. I ordered it, it came quickly, and I couldn't wait to try it out.The mop CAN CLEAN and it does it FAST. The best part is it's kinda FUN! It did what it had promised,unlike the husband and it didn't keep me waiting. The steam mop heats up in seconds and can tackle my messy kitchen in no time at all. Unplug it, toss the micro cleaning pad in the laundry and I'm done. Then I'm out the door to spend more money with the extra time the Bissell steam mop gives me.
