The first D4260 printer I ordered had to be sent back because it wouldn't work due to some malfunction with the enclosed printer cartridge. This second one I've had for about 3 months and it does an OK job of printing with one particularly annoying exception.
If your paper isn't perfectly flat and inserted just right, it will jam - at least mine does. There is a back door on the printer you can take off to help clear the jam but it did me no good. I had to pull out the paper by force and pick the shredded bits out of the machine afterward. Then after I replaced the back door it kept telling me I had an open door and I finally had to unplug and start over.
The other negative is that I have already had to replace the black printer cartridge. I've probably printed out less than 30 pages in total in the short time I've had it.
On the positive side, it has decent print quality for every day printing tasks and it was relatively inexpensive.

It works alright most of the time
This printer works sufficiently most of the time but I'm not as pleased with it as I was with my old HP Deskjet 950.

Great everyday printer!
This printer is great for everyday home or dorm room use. I have had no problems, and it runs great with my vista system! 2008-08-08
Very good price for an excellent printer
For this printer to be so small at a very low price it works GREAT!!! I can even plug in my digital camera and upload pictures to my PC (unexpected bonus). I would recommend this product to anyone. Especially those with an home office. 2008-07-30
Practical Printer
This printer was a steal! It does what it says it will do without taking up much space. I just need it to print word documents and do a few labels and that's just what it does. Very very easy to install and set up. (20 minutes) So, if you don't mind the needless software added to your computer, then I say, it's a win-win!

Love this product!
Couldn't believe Amazon's price on this HP 4260 Printer! I've seen this same printer for as much as $129. Amazon's price: Under 40 bucks! And on top of that my experience with it so far has exceeded my expectations. All the on-line reviews led me to it. Been looking for this printer at the right price for about six months now and Amazon came through for me again. 2008-07-28
