Editorial Review:
UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE PS30USB UNITED STATES DIGITAL CALCULATING SCALE WITH USB PC CONNECTION and SOFTWARE (30-LB) 30-LB LARGE CAPACITY; 3-WAY POWER: USB, BATTERY OR ADAPTER; CAN BE USED WITH ONLINE POSTAGE SERVICES ; HINGED PLATFORM ALLOWS FOR WEIGHING OF LARGE ENVELOPS OR MAILING TUBES; RANGE: 0-30 LBS ; MECHANICAL OVERLOAD PROTECTION; +/- 0.1% ACCURACY; RESOLUTION: 0.1 OZ; MINIMUM WEIGHT: > 0.1 OZ; MIN. ADD-ON WEIGHT: >0.1 OZ; DISPLAY: LARGE 5-DIGIT LCD;

As a scale it seems to do what it needs to do: weigh. For the price it seems like it beats everything else out there.
The package says, "Compatible with Click N' Ship," but going to the USPS site it looks like it's as compatible as any other scale - you type in the weight. It doesn't magically enter those numbers for you.
The fact that it'll run off USB, battery, or AC power is nice. There's no transformer in the box. Seems like hooking it up via USB is the way to go. Even if that isn't an option, unless you're some kind of major eBay shipper I can't imagine you going through a crazy amount of batteries (9V) with this thing.
There aren't any drivers to install. You just plug it in and it seems to recognize it as a human-interface-device (HID).
Bottom line: Good scale; Works with Dymo/Endicia stamps and is cheaper (and can weigh more) than the other advertised options for Dymo/Endicia.

Hmmm, something seems fishy
This scale looks alot like the MyWeigh Ultraship 35 I bought that never worked. How did they get a licence to put the United States Postal Service label on it? Hmmm. Did they buy a licence? I doubt it. This isn't one of the scales the United States Postal Service sells on their website. Hmmm, seems fishy to me! 2008-09-01

Works with Dymo Stamps
If you purchased the Dymo LabelWriter Twin Turbo and use it with Endicia for printing stamps (great free service, by the way) this scale will work for you. You push the 'weigh' button in the Endicia/Dymo application and it'll either show you the postage needed for printing or give you options if the weight is out of range due for the mailing class selected based on USPS rules.

COULDN'T BE EASIER!
I READ THE TWO REVIEWS AT THE TIME AND ONE WAS FOR THE OTHER AGAINST..I ORDERED, GOT THE SCALE AND READ THE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS..PUT IN A 9 V. BATT. AND AWAY WE GO..I HAD WEIGHED A PACKAGE AT THE POST OFFICE AND THEN TESTED IT AGAINST THE SCALE, IT WAS RIGHT-ON..I HAVEN'T HOOKED UP THE USB COMPUTER LINK YET BUT THE SPEED AND EASE OF WEIGHING ITEMS TO GET A BALLPARK SHIP FEE IS GREAT FOR E-BAY..I'D BUY IT AGAIN AND SHIPPING WAS FREE..P.S. I'VE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH ZEROING OUT THE SCALE, I HAVEN'T HAD TO CALIBRATE CUZ IT WAS ALREADY FINE..FRED 2008-03-07

Defective
Defective on receipt. Would self-test and zero only if the package table was removed. I don't intend to do that everytime I want to use the thing. Also, no software was included, though I don't know if it is really needed. Never got that far. 2008-01-09

Nice Scale
Scale works great, would be nice if it came with a ac power adapter for those not connecting it to a computer. Other than that nice product. 2008-01-07
