Customer Reviews:
great for travel, even to the beach
We purchased this travel bed for our trip to Hawaii with then 9 mo. old and 2 1/2 yr. old. It worked great to take to the beach for the baby's nap while keeping him shaded and out of the sand. He was teething at the time and having difficulty adjusting to the time change, so ended up sleeping in bed with us most of the night instead of the tent. Since our Hawaii trip, we have gotton much more use from the tent than I originally thought we would. Our now almost 3 year old sleeps in it every time we go out of town overnight. She is not able to stay in a regular bed and has learned to climb out of a pack and play. She loves the tent, and we just clip the zippers together so she cannot undo it from the inside...sounds a bit mean, but it's much safer than her getting out and roaming the grandparents' house (or where ever we are) at night, especially one that's not too child proof!

The main con I have with this tent is that if you're trying to put a baby in there that's already asleep...good luck. It's difficult to bend down & slide them in sideways (putting down into a pack & play is much easier), but in addition, the noise of the zipper always woke our baby up.

Overall, given our difficulties with our toddler sleeping anywhere but home, it's been a life saver!

great for travel
We bought this tent to take with us for a three week trip to Europe with our 1.5 year old. After a couple nights he got used to it and felt comfortable in it. We didn't zip him in, so he did get out when he woke up, if he wanted to. But it was nice for him to have his own bed everywhere we went and it didn't weigh much at all and it is very small. We brought it onto the plane in our carry-on luggage. It was a little tricky to get the tent collapsed the first few times, but if you look at the directions and try patiently you can learn how to do and then it's easy. Now we take this with us when we travel instead of a big pak n'play.

PeaPod Bed
Our baby loved this at the beach and at home. Northern California is filled with ants everywhere, but the mesh screen was so fine that they couldn't get in. Our baby was safe from all thr bugs as she took a cat nap.

Great for travel!
The Peapod works great. We used it multiple times in our motor home for our active baby. From 4 months on. When we went to lay him down at night we would bring out the bed and use the velcro strap to strap it to the wall so he couldn't flip off the bed. It worked great. It kept him from rolling off the bed at night and he was snug and secure. Transistioning time may be important to get your little one used to the new surroundings. It is great for travel where you don't have a crib or play crib available. Sometimes we take it "just in case". Worth the money.
