Fix-It Utilities 8 Professional [OLD VERSION]

Before I started to use Fix-it, for a while I didn't have any protection on my computer or system utilities. Simply because they were doing more mess than average trojan. My boyfriend bought it for his computer, so I said that I will give a try one more time ( I'm optimistic person, anyway I can always uninstall it). Since than, I can't imagine my lap without it. Virus database bigger than most of the anti virus programs, simple use, fast, not slowing down my laptop ( like ex. Norton ), so many useful things on one place, and customer support was very quick and helpful. Just all the best.

I bought Fix-It Utilities 7 and haven't been completely unsatisfied with it. It's feature JETDefrag is the worst defrag program I have ever seen; I seriously let this program run for 37+ Hours, until I finally shut it down. My computer probably is damaged now from the heat it produced after running it that long. It's progress on JETDefrag wasn't even at 30% complete yet. The anti-virus and anti-spyware updates are incredibly large, and now it won't even allow me to update it anymore. Your computer will be overall slower once you install Fix-It Utilities, as it takes the most system resources I have ever seen any program take.
It's registry cleaner is ok, when it's working. Oh yeah, emailing them for technical support is worthless as they will never respond. I've emailed them over and over, with no response. Calling them on the phone always ends up with as a waste of time as well. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this terrible software.

I haven't had any problems with it; you can download a free trial version to be on the safe side. Honestly I don't notice any speed improvement, but then again the computer runs smoothly. I have had no viruses, spyware, or anything major. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is twofold. One when it fixes something, it won't tell you what it is. Not a biggie, basically I don't think I could understand the computer gibberish. Second, I brought Wincleaner because it is a much better cleaner than the one in Fix It. Overall, would I buy Fix It again; yes. Yeah you can get lots of freeware programs that are great, and do the same. However, I am old, and not computer savvy. This works for me and is worth the money.

I have used Fix-it utilities7 before, and I was very satisfied with it. Fix-it Utilities 8 is just a newer update of the old one. I work on the same way, and is good protesting.

I realize that my review is not about this product, but I think it is relevant to potential purchasers of Avanquest products. I do not know anything about this particular program, but have had considerable difficulty with Avanquest as detailed below.

I purchased My Ultimate Organizer 7.0 via download and subsequent key.

I am not making this up - the product displayed a message in Serbo-Croatian telling me the key had expired.

Four hours later with Technical Support and the problem is still not resolved (despite erasing the program, reinstalling, trying different keys, searching the Windows Registry, etc). It takes a full hour on hold to get a technical support representative and at the conclusion of the last session, I was told to contact Customer Service for a CD copy in the hopes that that would resolve the issue. Now Customer Service tells me Technical Support must send me the copy, although Technical Support says otherwise. I am out $30 for a program that is at this point, totally useless, and left adrift by Avanquest who has my money and refuses to help me.

I would purchase Avanquest products with extreme caution. If you have a Technical Support issue, you will have to wait a minimum of 60 minutes on hold (no 800 number), and then get fairly substandard service after that.
