Editorial Review:
iWork ’09, Apple’s office productivity suite, is the easiest way to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations the Mac way. Pages is both a streamlined word processor and an easy-to-use page layout application. It allows you to be a writer one minute and a designer the next, always with a perfect document in the works. Numbers, with its' great-looking templates, easy-to-create formulas, and dynamic tables and charts, gives you simple ways to make sense of your data. Use Keynote to create your presentations, and you’ll be a hard act to follow. Its' powerful yet easy-to-use tools and dazzling effects put the show in slideshow. Packed with over 250 Apple-designed themes and templates—including 60 new designs overall—iWork lets you create projects that look polished from the first page or slide. And iWork is compatible with Microsoft Office, so it’s easy to share your work.

Amazon gave a slight ($5 if I recall correctly) discount from the Apple Store but I can get very reliable help from user forums and vidoeo summaries from Apple for general user info. Files can be saved in Office extensions with no problems that I've found (I'm the only Mac user in my family) and communicate with everyone seamlessly.
For my simple purposes these applications are money-saving and productive to the extent of my skills. Haven't worked up a Keynote presentation, so, don't have a comment with that type of work...as yet.
Amazon provides a great consumer service with their free ground shipping and I've never had Amazon fail me in the near 10 years of doing business with them for on line purchases.

You can read the review at Macworld and get the details. This is a faster piece of software and works like a champ on Snow Leopard. I've been using it for a month and no issues at all. I use the program to keep a Numbers record of my blood sugar readings complete with chart, do a journal in Pages complete with watermark and simple formatting. In both applications there were no issues with compatibility when opening older iterations of other documents and files.

WAY Better than Microsoft Office! Easy to use & creative!
This is by far the best product of it's kind. It is so much better than Microsoft Office in my opinion. I am a Freshman in high school, and I find it very easy to use, and my teachers love how well my projects and reports are done and organized because I use the templates that are provided! I am 110% happy with my purchase! 2010-03-04

Good product. Not as good as microsoft but gets the job done. Can't complain. 2010-03-02

For my personal use - a winner!
I just bought my first Mac and because I always had MS Office installed on all my PC's over the years I had to have it on my Mac also. I bought MS Office 2008 Home and Student Edition. I had the 2007 version on another PC and much prefer it over 2008. I said all that to say this. It was recommended that I buy iWork '09 and I did. In spite of a learning curve (continuing) using the software and the Mac, I already know I much prefer iWork for my personal needs and that is "a home user with no need for massive capabilities of any like programs." It' so nice to do it all on one screen (or tab) than to switch back and forth on the same document. 2010-02-24

Great Product
iWork '09 is an elegant program that does it all. The Keynote program included in iWork is hands down, much better than PowerPoint.
