Best icepack I've ever seen!

My wife has chronic back problems after surgery. These ice packs are superior to anything I've ever used before... in fact, when she goes to the hospital for followup procedures once or twice per year, we bring our own cold packs in case they don't have them. Some hospitals have these great packs, but others do not. We keep two in the freezer so they can be rotated out... we may add a third to help with lag-time... on bad days, the second one has sometimes warmed before the first one has completely re-frozen.

If you need a cold pack, these are the ones you want. They're so much better than anything else out there it's just no competition. The large size of these is excellent as well. Incidentally, be sure to search Amazon for the best deal, because the price for the same pack ranges considerably depending on which store is selling them (even though they're all selling the same product through Amazon).

I recently had knee surgery and ordered this ice pack. It has been great, and I highly recommend it. It stays real cold for up to 30 minutes and molds to the skin nicely. It was just what I needed.

This oversized cold pad is great for sore backs. I use it every morning to eliminate the back pain that developes overnight. I would recommend this for everyone.
One word of caution - I had a smaller pack that I took on a trip and had it packed in my suitcase. I checked my luggage at the airport and during the flight a seam burst in the pack and really messed up my clothes. If you take it with you on a trip, have it in your carry-on luggage so it will be in the pressurized cabin of the plane!

I bought this for some lower back pain. It's a terrific cold pack.

- It stays cold for well over 30 minutes
- It is fairly large. I wanted to be able to wrap something fully around my knee if necessary. This size will do that.
- It is very durable. Obviously you can't puncture it, but you don't have to be extra careful. The outside is thicker than a ziplock bag.
- It is fairly heavy, which I really like since the weight feels good on my back. This added to the delivery cost but it was worth it.
- I roll it up in the freezer although the directions say not to. If you can lay it flat then you have a bigger freezer than me.
- You'll need a towel or pillowcase between it and your skin. It's that cold. I wrap it in a thick towel. This also helps absorb the moisture that will build up on the surface.

I give 5 stars to products that I would replace immediately if they broke or wore out. I've used this many times since I purchased it and there has been no loss of coldness. It is far better than ice in a bag or the flimsy cold packs that most drug stores sell.

I bought this after having shoulder surgery. I tried two or three of the fancy ice packs for shoulders, and none of them worked very well. This one is large enough to cover the entire shoulder and upper chest/back, feels very durable, and is still cold after being on for 30 minutes.

Take this, put it in a thin pillow case, and wrap an ace bandage around it. Works perfectly for just about any body part.
