Other random comments on this light:
- The mounting bracket is removable so you have mounting options (like attaching directly to a bike rack)
- The bracket that comes with the light holds very tightly and has notched small "pins" that help it grip on whatever it's clipped on (I've attached this light to my fuel belt while running at night)
- If your front light went dead, you could get away with using this rear blinkie as a "poor man's front light". I've never been able to claim this of other rear lights for this price point.

- Rear bicycle light with flashing and steady modes
- Offers 1/2-watt Blaze LED and 2 eXtreme LEDs
- Lightweight, ultra-compact, weatherproof housing
- Attaches to almost any bike via bike mounts and clip mount
- 1-mile visibility; runs for 100 hours on 2 AAA batteries

Superb flasher!
Got a new mountain bike for our 10 year old boy this xmas and added this Super Flasher. This thing gets drivers attention. It's incredibly bright even from a block away. Very happy with the results. 2009-01-01

The perfect rear blinkie
This light is simply the best out there. First off there are no moving parts. The button to turn on the light is encased in the bottom of the light, so you essentially squeeze the light on the top and bottom to turn it on. The 1/2 watt "super flash" is blinding. A friend of mine has the same light and I get a nice headache along with huge red flashes whenever I draft him! I've used rear red flashing LED lights in the past, but nothing compares to the attention you'll get with this one. I am always confident that I am seen -- in fact, I'm nervous that some day I'll actually piss off a driver.

The Best tail light flasher. Bar None
This is the best. Forget the rest. Look at the 80 other 5-star ratings. the visibility is great, the battery life is great. It can be seen from very far away. Is about $20 and is pretty much the best light accessory you can buy. I have two and have bought it for every biker I care about. You should too! 2008-12-31

best rear bike light made
The Planet Bike Super Flash has the best performance and value hands down. My husband and I are commuters and have tried various other rear light models including the Mars 3.0. We believe it's because of the intensity and intervals of the LED flash that makes the Super Flash catch more attention. (you can search for comparison videos online) Amazon usually has the most reasonable price around. 2008-12-31

It bounced off!
The removability is a nice idea, but mine bounced off the mount after just a few uses (and because I didn't notice it until the end of my 8-mile morning commute, I never found it again). Impressively bright, but if I get another -- and I may -- I'll zip-tie it down. 2008-12-20
