Editorial Review:
SPRI Xertubes provide an easily portable, highly versatile way to add resistance training to your workout. Constructed of durable rubber with secure plastic and webbing handles, the Xertubes are suitable for a variety of toning exercises, body types, and fitness levels. Each Xertube is color coded to a specific resistence level, so you get the workout that best suits you. SPRI also includes a strap that lets you safely secure the tube to a door for additional target activities. The kit comes with two illustrated charts of exercises, including bicep curls, shoulder presses, and back extensions. Designed for light and speedy mobility, the strap can be rolled up to stash in a gym bag, suitcase, or overnight grip.

I'm really pleased with these, and I'll be getting a new set as soon as I wear these ones out.

Here are some problems with it:
* it claims to offer resistance for the "fit" to "very fit" range. I can do 20lb bicep curls, 10 rep max. This band lets me do curls forever. If I make a loop, things improve but:
* if you use loops or shorter sections of the band, it's hard to keep track of how much you "lifted". With dumbbells, it's clear and you can track your progress.
* the handles are not cushioned or rubberized. They're simple plastic and tend to rub against my palm.
* the handles are not extensible with additional tubes. Compare that to Lifelineusa bands, where you can put up to three bands on the handle and greatly vary the resistance.
* as another reviewer mentioned, bands don't really work for muscle gain. They work for strength and toning.
Pros:
* much cheaper than dumbbels, and easy to carry around.

Exellent product, glad I bought it
I bought this band with the blue and red one as a combo deal. At first I was skeptical, but I've grown to love these bands. They allow you to perform all sorts of different exercises, and they work great. Also, they don't hurt my shoulder joints like free weights tend to do at times.

Great product, super fast shipping!
I couldn't believe how fast my bands got to me - a day earlier than the earliest approximated date! 2008-11-09

Not for men who want to gain weight
I've been using a red SPRI Xertube band with P90X for about a week. I do NOT recommend this resistance band.

Resistance bands -the next best thing!
I recently bought the SPRI Resistance Band. I have to admit, at first I was rather skeptical about the use of over-sized rubberbands, but now I'm a fervent believer. They're portable, light weight and can provide quite a workout. They come in a variety of resistances for just about every one. Start your engines and get ready to burn! Thank you. Good Product
Performs exactly as advertised. I have all of the different sizes and they all work well. The strap that comes with the band for the door works excellent. 2008-10-12
