Tibor Reels were first introduced in 1995 and have established themselves as the benchmark for custom, crafted fly reels. It was only after years of development and input from the likes of Left Kreh and Flip Pallot, that Ted was satisfied with a reel that truly has set a new standard in fly fishing reel technology. The spool's large arbor design will significantly enhance the rate of line retrieval that is critical when you're trying to control speedsters like bonefish, bonito or wahoo. As with all Ted's reels, the drag system is absolutely flawless and has withstood the test of the world's most demanding game fish. If you were to own only one fly reel, this is the one to have. The thicker cork surface delivers superior compression and the smoothest big-game drag. The drag direction is easily changed by reversing the pawl springs and pawl direction. Dual pawls provide added trophy fish drag reliability. The ceramic coated main gear and drag pawls minimize wear for long-term reliability.
