It becomes uncomfortable due to the fact that it is not adjustable, so I would say it is effective for short periods only.

ankle brace

I think this ankle brace is lacking in a few areas, but overall it does a decent job.
Since I wear extremely stiff orthotics, the ankle brace hurt my arch. This was because I had too much material between the arch on my foot and my orthotic arch.
Also, the material began to split apart right after the first use. This probably occured because the fit was so tight.
In the end though, it did support my ankle, but I really don't think it helped that much for me. It really doesn't prevent a significant amount of movement.
