The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name

I read this with my children as a devotional and we all enjoy the illustrations and the poetic approach. At their young ages, what I hope most to impress on them is the reality of God's unconditional love, and this book is a beautiful way to do that.

This is the second year I've used this Bible in the second grade Sunday School classroom. It is a wonderful rendition of the major stories contained in the Bible; each old Testament story pointing quietly towards Jesus.

This is the best children's Bible I have found! Our girls, ages 5 & 3, love reading the stories. My husband and I enjoy reading the Bible stories just as much. It is a beautiful book for all ages! Our family loves reading and talking about this Bible together!

we bought this bible on a friend's recommendation, and I am really happy with it. we read it to our 3 year old, and each story is short enough and simple enough to hold her attention, yet I think it is probably appropriate for up to 7 or 8 year olds too. each chapter points to the gospel and Jesus' coming as part of God's plan.

This book was recommended by someone, I waited awhile before I purchased it, I finally found it at a Books-a-Million store, browsed through it and decided, I had to have it. My little boy is 6 years old and he loves the stories and illustrations. We read a couple every night at bedtime and I am learning again the older bible stories from my childhood as well. I also bought the book Handbag Friends from this same author Sally Lloyd Jones. My daughter will receive this at her 3rd birthday, very cute.. it's hot pink in the shape of a handbag.
