Editorial Review:

With Crash Bash, the PlayStation finally has received its official party game in the vein of Mario Party and Sonic Shuffle. Up to four players can engage in 30 minigames, provided that one of those players owns a Multitap accessory.

The games are almost as simple as the minigames that are found in Combat for the old Atari. There's Crash Ball, a four-way game of pong, and Desert Fox, in which the game characters go after each other in tanks. Adventure mode even includes boss battles in minigame form.

The beauty of Crash Bash is that anyone--and I mean anyone--can pick it up and play it, with virtually no instruction. On the other hand, playing against computer opponents is pointless. Without friends to liven things up, the premise gets old in no time.

The graphics and sounds share the same cartoonish quality of the previous Crash games, with playable bad guys. There's some graphical choppiness in multiplayer mode, but looks aren't the point of this one, anyway. --Robb Guido

Pros:

  • Easy to pick up and play
  • Thirty different minigames, most of which are fun when played with or against friends
Cons:
  • Hard to enjoy without a Multitap and four players

Crash Attack
Crash Bash is a great game, although some kids hate it. But why should that change my opinion? It shouldn't. That's why I like it. It's fun, too. The only thing bad about it is that it always takes forever to load. Me and my brother are at my cousins house right now, playing on the computer, waiting for the PlayStation to cool down so that we can play Crash Bash. It's a pretty old PlayStation, but it still works. I don't have a game console, so that's why I'm so bored with not playing. If you play a Crate Crush game and Crash is playing, prepare for a Crash Attack!!

Great for its Time!
I consider this game to be one of the best PlayStation1 games. My friend used to have a PS2, and we'd play this at his house. The PS2 was fairly new then, so I thought that this was one of the new PS2 games with great graphics. But I was greatly mistaken when I bought a used PS1. This game was really a PS1 game, and my friend had been using backwards-compatability. This meant that even for an old mediocre system like the PlayStation1, they managed to create such an action-packed party game.

Another feature that I loved was the gameplay. The creators of this game created a fine selection of games that even Mario Parties 1-7 can't satisfy. The tank games were by far the best in my opinion, because you have to unlock them. The easiest level to earn trophies in is the box tournaments. Crash is my favorite character, because he can attack from all sides, unlike Cortex and N-Brio (I think that's his name, I might be wrong), who can only shoot their weapons from the side they are aiming at. The cutscenes were not very entertaining, but they at least explained what to do.

I highly recomend this game to any PS1 or PS2 player, because...well, because it is the most fun Crash game of all time. If you are considering buying Mario Party 8 for the Wii, do yourself a favor and get an old PS1 to pla this game instead.

Crash Bash: The Best Game Invented (That I've played, anyway)
I don't know if this is the best Crash Bandicoot game ever invented, but it's still fun. I don't have it, and I don't even have a PlayStation, or PS2. But, I have played it at my cousins house, and my friends house. Come to think of it, when I finish doing this, I'm going to my friend's house to play Crash Bash. It's so fun. I almost can't live without it. I have two favorite games. Drain Bash, and Manic Panic. I like Drain Bash, because you can get all sorts of awsome power-ups. I like Manic Panic, because you can get bombs and stuff. Then there's this awsome new Crash character. The monkey, Rilla Roo. He's awsome! He's not my favorite character, but he's cool. My favorite, obviously, is Crash. Me and my cousin call him and Coco "The Spin Attackers of Death". This game is the best. A lot of people tell me Crash Team Racing is better, but I always just say, "Are you sure? You can blow up characters in Crash Bash, but not CTR. You're weird." This game is just TO COOL.

THIS GAME IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally, I think this is the best Crash game ever made. First, there are the fabulous sound effects, which to me make a huge difference. Then, there are the cool boss battles and great levels. Especially the crate crushes. Throwing explosive boxes and stone crates is a good source of entertainment for me. There are also all of the characters crammed into one game. There's Crash, of course, and Coco, Dingodile, Tiny, N.Gin, Neo Cortex, N.Brio, Rilla Roo, and many, many more. If you like action-packed video games, then this is the game for you.
