Editorial Review:
Rise to Rock Royalty with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and become ?The Bad Boys of Boston.? Light up the stage and jam with some of the best Rock & Roll tracks of all time, including Aerosmith's greatest hits and opening songs from some of the world's best bands. Become Aerosmith with characters of the entire band showing off legendary moves in the most electrifying venues.

Which would have been fine if they had better songs. Most of the Aerosmith songs in the early stages of the game are rare songs that never get played on the radio. You would have thought if they were trying to promote the band to a new audience, they would have picked more popular songs.
The songs by the other bands are OK, except I would have picked "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" by the Clash, and "I Love Rock And Roll" by Joan Jett instead of the songs they picked. These are the songs I would have picked by Aerosmith:
Nimpuc:
Make It (because it says "Welcome to the show")
Back In The Saddle
Dream On
Max's KS:
No Surprise (because it's about Max's)
Mama Kin
Draw The Line
The Orpheum:
Sweet Emotion
Last Child
Toys In The Attic
Half Time Show:
Walk This Way (with Run DMC)
Ragdoll
Young Lust
Hall Of Fame:
Joe Perry Guitar Dual
Love In An Elevator
Let The Music Do The Talking
Train Kept A Rollin'
The Vault:
Same Old Song and Dance
Pandora's Box
Walk This Way
Rats In The Cellar
Kings And Queens
Dude Look's Like A Lady
Living On The Edge
Pink
Don't Want To Miss A Thing
Jaded

This game is not like the other GH games because you can only really choose one song at a time as you're advancing through the levels. You are forced to play every song, rather than beating 3/4 or whatever. Even though I prefer the other GH games, this one is still fun. It was probably better that they changed the set up because I was not motivated to play every song in the game in one night.
If you like GH, just get it. New songs are always good.

- Venues from historical moments during the band's illustrious career offer the experience of "sweet emotion" and further capture the essence of the band's rise to fame.
- Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, the first game built around the legendary music of America's Greatest Rock 'N Roll Band: Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer.
- This latest installment from the franchise with the #1 best-selling video game in 2007, puts players in the shoes of Perry (guitar), Whitford (guitar) and Hamilton (bass), as they rock out alongside frontman Tyler and drummer Kramer.
- Gamers will experience Aerosmith's Grammy winning career, from their first gig to becoming rock royalty, in a way that no other entertainment vehicle offers.
- As fans progress through their careers in the game, they can rock out to scores of Aerosmith's greatest hits, as well as songs from celebrated artists that the band has either performed with or has been inspired by in some way.

Should of had better songs
Like other reviewers have said this game is pretty much Guitar Hero 3, with Aerosmith characters and stage designs. For the non-Aerosmith songs, you play the same characters as in Guitar Hero 3.

LOVE AEROSMITH
I love Aerosmith and I love Aerosmith Guitar Hero! Great songs and lots of fun. Watch out Steve Tylor!!!!! 2008-08-15

I like the other GH games better, but still fun
This game is not all Aerosmith songs. You start off playing two opening songs, and then move on to the Aerosmith songs. I was a little disappointed by the songs chosen for this game. There are so many good songs by Aerosmith, and those selected for this game just seem a little random.

Okay but not as good as Original Guitar Hero 3
This game is okay but Career play is different and takes longer, so thats something I don't really like but its okay. I like the Aerosmith people though. 2008-08-04

Not as fun as the original Guitar Hero III...
I was really looking forward to playing this game, although I'm not a big Aerosmith fan and hardly know any of their older songs. I guess I should have stuck with the original GH III. The songs are boring (unless you like Aerosmith), and unlike the GH III, you have to play all of the songs in each level in career mode to get to the next level. It's definitely not worth $49.99, but may be a fun game if the price comes down. 2008-08-04
