Lego Indiana Jones X360

In a world where games can be won and ended in a day or two, it is so satisfying to have a games that literally lasts weeks and is fun from start to finish. The humor in these Lego games is amazing. The little looks, the interactions are so funny. Whoever creates these games really should get a lot of credit for it. You get sucked into the story, become fond of the characters and really enjoy the ride.
You get all three Indiana Jones moves in here - with detailed scene by scene recreations. In addition there are extra levels for Young Indiana Jones and the traditional smash-all-you-can level as well. There are tons of in-jokes - many characters from Star Wars make appearances in here.
The basic operation of the game is that you and a friend (or a computer AI) go romping through a Lego recreation of a given scene from the movie. Maybe you're running to escape a giant rolling ball. Maybe you're wandering around a mysterious library looking to create a letter X. Whatever it is, you bash everything you see, breaking the Lego pieces apart, earning coins to then buy new characters, special unlocks, and much more. There are puzzles to solve, enemies to bash, but it's all in good fun. It's not violent (although I suppose some might say that having a little Indiana Jones take his whip and cause a little tribesman to fall into Lego component parts is violent).
It's not just a game for kids - as adults, my boyfriend and I have had great fun with both Lego games. It's neat that a second player can "pop in" at any time, play along for a while to help out, and then "pop out" again.
I would love to see more movies go through the Lego process. How about Lego Lord of the Rings? That would be incredible :) Until then, though, I definitely recommend Lego Indiana Jones.

We make an entire weekend out of it sometimes by watching one of the Indiana Jones movies, then playing that episodes levels! It is a lot of fun and I am amazed at how much my kids remember from the movie scenes about where things were and what Indiana was doing in that scene. The game does not match up 100%, but that is part of the fun.
I would rate this as an excellant puzzle game for families, play with your kids and be amazed by how much fun they have telling you about Indiana Jones!

I wrote another review on how much I disliked the Star Wars original trilogy because it's all action(and very clumsy awkward action) on poorly designed levels. Indiana Jones is the polar opposite. The gameplay is smooth, and doesn't feel clunky. and you actually want to search every inch of the beautiful levels. Amazing...best game of 2008!

awesome!
This game was awesome! It has all you want in a lego game plus it has a lot of hidden extras from lego star wars! You can be tons of different characters, all with special moves. This game is great for all ages including neardy 20 year olds like me. If you want a great game buy this one! Some people think the game is frustrating but that is only because they don't know what they are doing. Once you learn how to handle the characters, this game flows! 2008-09-19

Incredibly Fun, with Lots of Gameplay
Lego Star Wars was a *huge* hit, so it's no big surprise that Lego Indiana Jones was next. It is just amazing how encompassing this game is. We just hit 100% on the entire game and have to say it was a lot of fun to get through it.

Cool game, fun and endlessly entertaining
My kid (5 years old) loves this game. It's very elaborate, follows all the scenes from all the movies in surprising detail, and has a lego-ized sanitation of violence (no blood, no guts, just plastic blocks that come apart and reassemble on their own). Plus the user interface and guidance is simple enough that a five year old figured it out on his own. The legoization of multi-chapter movies is a great idea, we plan to buy all of them. 2008-09-15

Fun for playing with your kids
My kids and I like to play this game together. Two players can help each other while playing the game. My kids are 8 and 10 and they love the game.

An amazing game. Game of the year.
Indiana Jones is pure fun from start to finish. The level design is astonishing, the gameplay is simply fantastic.
