You are Commander Shepard of the starship Normandy and you are the last hope for all life in the Galaxy. Saren, a rogue member of the elite and untouchable Spectre agents, has discovered the secret to unleashing an apocalyptic force on the galaxy, and only you stand in his way. High resolution visuals - highly detailed textures, characters and environments Fully customizable controls - you can re-map the control scheme any way you like Run & Gun Control - You can assign biotic powers or skills to 'hot keys' allowing you to play Mass Effect with a heavier focus on action Decryption mini-game New inventory screen GUI and functionality - The enhanced inventory system makes it easier for you to equip and modify your weapons and armor
-The story is immersive and every detail, even details that have nothing to do with the plot, have been polished to perfection.
-Your AI party members are intelligent and combat is surprisingly smooth.
-Features a Light side, Dark side way of character advancement (Think Knights of the Old Republic), except called Paragon and Renegade respectively.
-Replay value is high since a change in background or class opens up more dialogue and quest options.
-Graphically it is very appealing, which I have come to expect from Bioware.
To all the "High system requirements" nay-sayers: keep up with 2008 PC games. Solution: Upgrade your computer. It had to be done one day, why not now?
To all the "DRM" nay-sayers: businesses are in business to make money and pirating software costs them massive amounts of money. They are simply protecting their investment. After installing the game my computer didn't start oozing blood or threatening to take over the free world; point being DRM software has not negatively effected me whatsoever. Solution: Give me the keys to the Waah-bulance and just play the game.
You will wish you never installed this game and any software with DRM. If there is a class action suit anywhere, Im in!

A great console to PC port.

Excellent RPG !!
Fantastic SCI-FI action-RPG game. The graphics are great, gameplay is smooth, controls are easy, and the voice acting and music is superb. I am playing this on an older XP computer with a GT7600 video card ... no problems. I highly recommend this game! 2008-07-04
Great game, horrible copy protection scheme !!!
A great game, still playing it. What kills it is the fact it will only allow you to install the game 3 times on your PC. That is simply OUTRAGEOUS. This is what pushes people into pirating PC games. Horrible !!! 2008-07-03

This game is incredible, and most of anyone will enjoy it. If your an RPG fan you will love it or if your an action fan you will love it! If your a GAME fan you will love it! 2008-07-02
Mass Effect
I thought I would be one of the lucky ones who would have no problems with the DRM and in Effect, play a fun game. DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE! It's not that rare of a problem and now I have a problem that nobody will help me fix. Bioware says its either a DELL or Microsoft Software issue, maybe a corrupt registry or something else I have installed (Its a brand new PC with only 2 other games on it!) DELL says there PC and the OS are fine, it's a known problem with the DRM software, maybe try Microsoft's help with the error's (as in more then one) Im getting. Microsoft say's there operating system is fine, its the 3rd party software that has messed up my computer. I need to completly uninstall or rebuild with my emergency restore disk or I need to have BioWare Helpdesk fix it and help me remove the DRM and all of it's tenticles that have currupted my machine with its virus spycode.
You will wish you never installed this game and any software with DRM. If there is a class action suit anywhere, Im in!
