Editorial Review:
Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 is a musical expansion to Rock Band, the smash-hit collaborative, competitive and single player music game. Rock Band lets you and your friends form your own band live out your rock and roll fantasies to music's greatest soundtrack. Created by Harmonix, the leading developer of music-based games, Rock Band is an all-new platform for gamers to experience music, giving players the chance to rock out in the shoes of the biggest guitarists, bassists, drummers and singers of all time - as a solo superstar or as part of a hard rocking band. Built on unprecedented deals with top record labels and music publishers, the music featured in Rock Band spans all genres of rock and includes many master recordings from legendary artists. More Than a Feeling - Boston Moonage Daydream - David Bowie We Care a Lot - Faith No More Truckin' - The Grateful Dead Die, All Right! - The Hives Calling Dr. Love - Kiss Gimme Three Steps - Lynyrd Skynyrd March of the Pigs - Nine Inch Nails Live Forever - Oasis Crushcrushcrush - Paramore Synchronicity II - The Police Little Sister - Queens of the Stone Age Teenage Lobotomy - Ramones Siva - Smashing Pumpkins Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots Buddy Holly - Weezer Joker & the Thief - Wolfmother

The songs are ok, not as awesome as the first Rock Band, it seems like a lot of leftovers from the original Rock Band, as bands represented on that disk make it here with some of their lesser known songs.
The songs on this are definitely harder than Rock Band and I found myself getting stuck on songs that are considered "First Stage". I had a total blast playing through such songs as "All the Small Things", "The Kill", and "Teenage Lobotomy".
All in all I would recommend this to those who have played through the original Rock Band and are waiting until the sequel comes out.
Hopefully that version will offer downloadable content as I can see that Harmonix offers a ton of great songs online that I would love love love to play on Rock Band if only I could.
C'mon Harmonix! Don't let Wii owners down!

The main complaint we have with Rock Band is that a lot of us "kids" don't know the songs. The Track Pack was even worse. I love "Interstate Love Song", and "More Than a Feeling", and my friends are crazy about "All The Small Things", but otherwise, more obscure songs, even when we know the artist (Police, Smashing Pumpkins). So, three useful songs, which will get old replaying them.

I suspect my husband and I will end up spending more in Track Pack's in the end than if we would just buy the xbox version.
I had a blast on the xbox version and there's a ton of stuff you can download for it on the rockband website...but this is just sad.

It'll do until Rock Band 2 comes out
If you have played all the songs on Rock Band on the Wii this will hopefully hold you over until RB 2 comes out.

No value for the price
Since we love Rock Band, we were really excited to add some songs. We finished the whole track pack, however, in one afternoon. And that included a break for pizza! For almost as much as the original game, this is definitely not worth the price we paid. My friends considered returning it to WalMart (not sure you can return opened package).

not bad
A nice addition of songs for the game, although I would have preferred at least another 10 songs to make it really worth while. You can go through the 20 really fast. 2008-09-08

EXCELENT PRODUCT!
This is a great game with much more familiar songs than the game included with rock band. love it and would highly suggest it to anyone looking to have great family fun!! 2008-08-13

Do not buy this!
The Rock Band for Wii SUCKS seriously compared to the Xbox version. On the XBox you can just download songs you want. On the Wii, you are stuck buying the "expansion disks"...this is really nothing more than another copy of Rock Band with WAY less songs. Considering that I already purchased the game and had to pay $[...] for a disk to get 2 songs I actually like...it it not a good deal.
