Editorial Review:
  • Beginning with the evacuation of Yavin 4 (end of A New Hope) and ending with the Battle of Endor (Return of the Jedi), the original story features 11 battles as seen through the eyes of a clandestine Rebel team personally selected by Han Solo.
  • Millions of possible customizations directly affect gameplay to an even greater degree than the predetermined character classes of previous Star Wars Battlefront games.
  • Players can upgrade and customize soldiers' attributes (health, speed, agility), equipment (weapons, items) and appearance (species, body, insignia, uniform colors).
  • New maps include Ord Mantell, Boz Pity, Korriban, Sullust and Saleucami, plus new space battles at Kessel, Hoth, and the remnants of Alderaan.
  • Renegade Squadron also adds a second Hoth map, plus a new interpretation of Endor.

Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron is the previously untold story of a ragtag ensemble of battle-hardened rogues and scoundrels assembled by Han Solo. Gathered to execute some of the most secretive operations in the Rebel Alliance's war against the Galactic Empire, the Renegade Squadron participates in battles spanning the galaxy. From the Valley of the Sith on Korriban to a dogfight in space through the remains of Alderaan, Solo directs the team on missions of sabotage, rescue and retrieval. Fly as heroes in space aboard the Millennium Falcon, Darth Vader's TIE Advanced, Jango and Boba Fett's Slave I, and Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi starfighter New land-based heroes include Admiral Ackbar, Ben Kenobi (Episode IV), IG-88, Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto

great game
I turned 13 this past april and got this game for my PSP. It held my attention for a good week but I really have not played much with it since. But it is a fun game anyway.

Fun Game, Great Graphics, Over Too Soon
"Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron" is nothing short of a great PSP game. The graphics, music, and game play are all way above average for games on portable systems. The missions are fun and the new customizing options give the player a lot of flexibility when developing their characters.

My only compliant is that the game was fairly short and can be completed in one session. The game can be replayed and supports multi-player modes, so it only loses one star on my rating for this.

Highly recommended!

Great Game, but some faults
I've had this game for 5 days now. I agree with the other users in saying that the Campaign mode is extremely short. I finished it max 3 hours. But, for the PSP it is a great game, a good amount of levels, and the customization feature is awesome. The major fault, however, I have is the auto-lock when firing. This makes the game extremely easy on normal. Even on elite mode you mow down 8-10 enemies before dying. It kind of takes the fun out of it because I don't think I've lost a single battle yet, which is annoying because that's what makes games challenging, close hard fought battles. But I guess you can't fault the game entirely for that because of the limited buttons on the PSP itself. Maybe on the next PSP they will have 2 analog sticks, which will allow for much better 1st person shooting games. Also, I have not tried the online multiplayer, but when I do get wireless I'm sure it will be awesome.

An Amazing Game
A solid game, no doubt. Even if you're not a star wars fan (but even better if you are) it's a spectacular game. The story mode may be rather easy, but the online play is amazing. It gets up to 16 player shoot em up action. The customiztion of your soldier and weapons is a nice touch. There are dozens and dozens of combinations. Once again, a true star wars game that offers hours of entertainment. BUY this for the online play.

good game but short story line
This game is very good. I loved the first one and I loved the this one. The only downside is that the story line is very very short. I actually beat the game in one sitting. The graphics are amazing and so is everything else. I loved it how they alowed you to get medals and what not. However unlike the first one you dont get bonuses from those.
